Nicola

I write to express our deep appreciation and thanks for the wonderful care that everyone at Phyllis Tuckwell provided during our daughter Nicola’s final days.

Nicola had endured several weeks of illness and had been cared for at the Royal Surrey. On arriving at Phyllis Tuckwell we knew immediately that we had come to the right place. The warmth of the welcome, the concern for Nicola’s comfort and dignity, and the support for us were hallmarks of the quality of our experience over five very difficult days and nights.

All of the staff at Phyllis Tuckwell consistently maintained an exceptionally high standard of patient care throughout Nicola’s stay. Whether in the darkest hours of the night or during the day, staff were outstanding at all times. They were always quick to respond to Nicola’s needs, delivering their expertise with kindness and compassion. The excellence of this caring approach was extended to us too, whether we were caring for Nicola alongside you, or at times when you were caring for us.

The Phyllis Tuckwell experience was overwhelmingly supportive and this shines a warm light on Nicola’s last days which enabled us to say farewell in the knowledge that she could not have received better care, and to remember her in the calm and peaceful state in which she slipped away.
